One of last year's most popular cooking classes, "Soups for All Seasons" is back again this summer with Chef Jim demonstrating three new soup recipes sure to please any crowd. Soup is one of the most versatile and best loved dishes a cook can put on the table. It can be served hot or cold. It can be a hearty soup that makes a meal, a lighter starter course, a side dish, or even a dessert. This class will show home cooks how to take advantage of local fresh produce, no matter what the season, to create wonderfully flavorful soups. Chef Jim will demonstrate three of his favorites and students will have a chance to sample all of them. Students will go home with great new ideas and a copy of Chef Jim Voltz's cookbook, "Soup on the Porch."

By the middle of summer, who isn't looking for fresh ideas for simple meals that will satisfy a crowd? In this class, Chef Jim demonstrates some his favorite, easy-to-make and make-ahead meals that can feed all the family and friends that keep showing up during the summer. Learn how to make these delicious dishes and get some new ideas for entertaining. Students will have a chance to sample all of the dishes demonstrated in class, go home with new ideas and a copy of Chef Jim Voltz's cookbook, "Simple Meals on the Porch."
