Dinner Classes Being Taught in Private Homes Near Frankfort
Chef Jim will once again be teaching his very popular dinner classes beginning in June 2017.
These classes are taught in private homes in the Frankfort area and feature an elegent three course dinner menu. All classes will start at 6p.m., run approximately 2.5/3.0 hours, and consist of cooking demonstrations followed by a full three course, sit-down dinner of the dishes demonstrated in class accompanied by the recommended wines. Students will go home with detailed recipes and plenty of tips for successful entertaining. The price of the classes range from $60 to $80 (payment is due at the time of the class, cash or checks only please). Interested students may enroll in one or all of these dinner sessions and reserve their seat by going to the "Enroll/Contact Us" page on this website and filling out the form.
The menu for each class is subject to change. Final menus will be posted closer to the date of the class.
The 2017 Dinner Class Schedule is:
Dinner #1: Thursday, June 29 at 6:00 p.m. in Jim and Gail Beck's beautiful home just north of Frankfort, Michigan and overlooking Lake Michigan. The featured entree is beef paillard.The price of this class is $80 per person.
Dinner #2:THIS CLASS HAS BEEN CLOSED. Thursday, July 20 at 6:00 p.m. A very special class hosted by Chef Jim in Sunny Shores on Crystal Lake. See Chef Jim cook in his little kitchen made famous in his "On The Porch" cookbook series and enjoy a real summer Lobster Boil dinner with all the trimmings. The price of this class is $60 per person. This class sold out early last year so get your reservation in as soon as possible if you don't want to miss out.
Dinner #3: Thursday, August 24 at 6:00 p.m. in Shep Braun's home just off Michigan Ave., outside Frankfort. The now famous annual couquet tournament occurs just prior to this class and takes place on Shep's beautiful rolling lawn (it's a challenge!). The featured entree is pork tenderloin. The price of this class is $80 per person.
Dinner #4: The date is Thursday, September 14 at 6:00 p.m. in Nancy Reid's lovely home located in Frankfort. The featured entree is a seafood casserole. The price of this class is $80 per person.
